Visual Identity

FROM 01.05.2023 TILL 31.07.2023
WITH: Marie-Mam Sai Bellier et Clara Pasteau

Following a collection of shapes and symbols that are very present in the city, they designed a new logo, an alphabet of lettering, and graphic elements structuring the new identity and the website you’re browsing.

The latter also continues Clara Pasteau’s reflections on website architecture and materiality. (Notably in her fictional text “The Computer Store” published on soapboxjournal.net, where two characters converse and express the emotions they feel about coding websites. They become personalities, houses to be entered).

Meetings with local cultural players (historians, craftsmen, cultural personalities, etc.) also led them to reflect on the strong link between Troyes and its crafts, know-how and arts and crafts.

The shapes produced for this new identity encapsulate a materiality that was thought through during their construction, with the aim of creating lasting works of art, created with local craftsmen working in iron, glass or fabric.

The symbolic language of the city of Troyes is thus reinterpreted and brought to light by the two artists, who will join forces with local know-how to decorate the facade of the Art Center.
