Christian Lapie’s work questions our individual and collective memory. His installations of spectral figures emerge from chosen places steeped in history, whatever the continent these armless, faceless figures, monumental and powerful, question and destabilize.
And critic Philippe Piguet adds: “The duty of remembrance alluded to is a civic duty, quite simply a human one.
