During his residency, Marcel D will work on the composition of a new collection of poems. This text will give rise to an edition, performances and a series of paintings.

Born in 1991

Lives and works in Paris

Marcel Devillers combines visual arts (installation, painting, collage) with poetry and performance.

His work has been shown at the Crédac (Ivry-Sur-Seine), the Valeria Cetraro gallery (Paris), the Frac Normandie (Caen), the Bains-Douches (Alençon), the BBB art center (Toulouse), and soon at the MACVAL (Vitry-sur-Seine). He also gives readings of his texts and performances during which he sometimes activates his sculptures (Air de Paris gallery, Palais de Tokyo, Fondation Ricard…).

His poetry collections “La note salée du désir” and “Cette nuit je dors” were published in 2017 and 2019 by Les Bains-Douches and Zéro2 éditions. In 2024, “Je suis Jessica, dis-je” will be published by Three Dice and Publication Studio.

He also produces audio and sound works; in 2022 he participated in the reactivation of John Giorno’s Dial-A-Poem (broadcasting poems over the telephone) and in 2023 he produced “Le corps imaginal”, a podcast in collaboration with musician Nils Gemini broadcast by the Frac Corse.
